Graduated from Munster Technological University (MTU Cork), Ireland (then the Cork Institute of Technology), in late October 2015 with an MA in Public Relations with New Media. Recipient of CIT Crawford College of Art & Design award for Best Taught Masters Degree Student.

Previously spent over 25 years as a design engineer, most recently as Vice President, Applications Engineering, with an M2M solutions provider in Atlanta, GA, USA. Responsible for both product (electronic circuitry and embedded firmware) and systems design (SQL databases, communication apps, data processing apps, location mapping interfaces, websites, web services and service billing automation). Holder of multiple patents, primarily in wireless communications and data processing.

Graduated from Dublin City University (DCU), Ireland (then the National Institute for Higher Education), in 1988 with a BEng in Electronic Engineering.
